Going out with kids can be challenging, even more so if you are in another city and they are tired of sightseeing and the intense itineraries.
But Valencia offers many great activities you can do with your children so that you can all have a great time!
These are some of my favourite places to visit with my children (1 and 4 year old)

The Beach
Best running track, award winning natural soother and all time responsible for the best creative projects.
The most famous beaches in Valencia are “Malvarrosa” and “Patacona Beach”, they are very accessible. Click here to see how to get to the beach.
In my opinion, the most beautiful one is Canet de Berenguer. The sand and water are cleaner and less people come here since it’s 40 minutes away from the city.
Bioparc
Nature blooms inside of Bioparc! A place where you can see the animals in a recreation of their own habitats, have a coffee next to the giraffes and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Bioparc also has a playground where kids can run and have fun. We love this place so much that we all got annual passes.
Oceanografic
Dolphins, dolphins, dolphins! They are so magical, funny and smart, how can you not love them? Also, one lucky kid gets to play with them for the length of the dolphin show.
Oceanografic is a wonderful place, where kids can witness the magic of the sea creatures, like for example the fluorescent jellyfish, the belugas and the impressive underwater tunnel full of sharks.
Lego Fun Factory
Is your kid a Lego Fan? Take him/her here and you won’t be able to leave. This is a free place, you can stay for 45 minutes and it’s divided in two. One part of the place is dedicated to small children from 1 to 5, they only can play with Lego Duplo. The other part is for older children, here they can play with the sets from Lego Friends, Lego Technic, Lego Creator and Lego Cities. This place is located inside AQUA mall.
Muerde La Pasta
It’s a buffet with a big playground inside where your kids can run and have fun while you have 5 minutes to drink your coffee. Another big pro of this place is that you don’t have to wait for food, especially when children are hungry and tired. You can find this place in El Saler shopping Center that is next to the main attraction in Valencia, La Ciudad de Las Artes y las Ciencias.
I’m sure you and your family will be thrilled to visit any of these places, enjoy Valencia!

Gisele is starting her adventure as a Valenciana, enjoying patatas bravas, tostadas con tomate and olivas and discovering with much amusement this “no pasa nada!” lifestyle. Recently arrived in Spain from Argentina, discovering places, people and food, trying to set up a new life for her family in this wonderful place.
